Jerry Dean Blackmon, 57, affectionately known as "Dino" resident of Sikeston died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at his home. He was born June 10, 1957 in Tunica, MS to the late John D. and Dorotha Mae Selma Blackmon, Sr.

He was self-employed and a member of One More Chance Ministries in Sikeston.

He was united in marriage to Rosie Simmons Blackmon who survives.

In addition to his wife he is survived by eight sons and two daughters-in-law, Derrick Blackmon, Elliot Bonner, Xavier Howard, Christopher Simmons and Corey Simmons of Sikeston, Rachaun and Heather Dorsey of Cape Girardeau, Gary and Pamela Morris of Little Rock, AR and Phillip Gardner of Poplar Bluff, MO, six daughters, Kwneshia Dorsey, Laketa Williams, Jerriereneika Dorsey, Anndrea Dorsey, Mary Howard, and Cassandra Walker of Sikeston, six brothers, T.C. Blackmon, Willie Blackmon and Emmanuel Blackmon of Chicago, IL, Robert Blackmon of Farmington, MO. and John D. Blackmon of Haywood City and Russell Phiffer of Sikeston, , six sisters, Beverly Lee Blackmon of Chicago, IL., Ethel Hamilton and Joyce Scott of Sikeston, Mary Blackmon of Cape Girardeau, Dorothy Chamberlain of Haywood City, MO and Earnestine Blackmon of Perryville, MO, 26 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Friday, August 29, 2014 from 12:00 noon until the time of services at 1:00 P. M. at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ with Pastor Hallie Bonner of One More Chance Ministries officiating.
Interment will follow in New Morning Star Cemetery in Haywood City with Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
