Craig Rush, 37, resident of St. Petersburg, FL formerly of Cairo, died in November 4, 2014 in St. Petersburg. He was born November 14, 1976 in Cairo to Regina Rush Cooper of St. Petersburg and Craig Kizer of Jefferson City, MO .
He attended Cairo Public Schools and was of the Baptist faith.
In 2004 he relocated to St. Petersburg, FL where he remained until his death.
Craig loved his sons and they were the apple of his eye. He loved spending time with them at Celebration Station where it offered a wide range of activities that they all enjoyed. He also loved bike riding, swimming and going to the beach.
In addition to his parents he is survived by three sons, Khalil Rush of St. Petersburg, Khamaryon Rush and Khaydin Rush of Danville, IL, three brothers, Leondra Rush of Nashville, TN, John Rush of Cairo and Bryan Kizer of Columbia, SC, one sister and brother-in-law, Celecia and Zachary Green of Cairo, his step father, Darrin Cooper of Paducah, KY, his significant other, Shontel Clark of Danville and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leveland (Baby)and Rita Rush.
Friends may call Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 10:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the Cairo High School in Cairo, IL with Elder John Simelton, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
