Cecil Nunley, 69, resident of Cape Girardeau died, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his home. He was born December 23, 1944 in Morley, MO to the late Earnestine Nunley and was of the Baptist faith.
He was a graduate of Cape Central High and later enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for four years receiving an honorable discharge in 1968. He then found employment at Proctor and Gamble of Cape Girardeau where he retired after 27 years of service.
He is survived by two sons, Cecil Nunley, Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Darius Nunley of St. Louis, four daughters, Gladys Merriweather of Michigan City, IN, Tonya Carter and Yolanda Carter of Cape Girardeau and Andrea Mitchell of Tulsa, OK, four brothers, Jo Willie Nunley, Tommie Nunley, Anthony Ray Nunley and Ricky Nunley of Cape, one sister, Jacqueline Nunley of Cape Girardeau and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with Eld. Stafford Moore, Jr., officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
