Joe Hill

Joe Hill, 65, resident of Cairo died January 1, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born October 9, 1949 in Turrell, Arkansas to the late Isaac and Ruthie Mae Columbus Hill.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1969 until September 1, 1971 receiving an honorable discharge.

He was self-employed as an Automotive Mechanic.

He is survived by three brothers, Freddie Lee Gentry of Cairo, Tyrone Hill of Cape Girardeau and Isaac Hill of Sikeston, three sisters, Deborah Spillers and Betty Lee Reed of Cairo and Sharon Hill of Cape Girardeau and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Cairo High School from 10:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 11:00 A. M. with Minister Deborah Johnson Spiller officiating. Interment will be Monday at National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
