Arne Pullen

Elder Arne Pullen, 86, resident of Harvey, Illinois, formerly of Bell City died January 1, 2015 in Harvey. He was born February 17, 1928 in Bell City, Missouri to the late Josephus C. and Floria Montgomery Pullen.

He was a veteran of the United States Army where he received an honorable discharge.

He retired from General Motors Corporation in 1993 as a Professionally Trained Mechanic and was the former pastor of Penson Temple Church of God in Christ in Chicago.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice C. Currie Pullen, two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Pullen-Bailey (Wallace) and Vanessa Booker (Ocie Wendell), and one son James Baylor; one brother, Everse Pullen, one sister,Bertha Luster, 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Monday, January 12, 2015 from 11:00 a. m. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Christ Sanctuary Church of God in Christ in Bell City with Dr. Elisha Pullen officiating.

Interment will follow in the J. C. Pullen Memorial Garden Cemetery with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of local arrangements.
