Rufus Pullen, 76, resident of Atlanta, formerly of Bell City died January 28, 2015 in Atlanta. He was born July 2, 1938 in Bell City to the late J. C. Pullen, Jr. and Viola Campbell.
In 1955 he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Forbes Air Base in Topeka, Kansas. He retired from Chrysler Corporation where he was a welder.
He was united in marriage to Amoret Pullen who also precedes him in death
He is survived by two sons, Michael Pullen of Woodstock, GA and James Pullen of Douglasville, GA, two daughters, Cheryl (Henry) Atwater of Powder Springs, GA and Sheila Jackson of Marietta, GA, two step children, Andre Rogers and Celeste Rogers of Detroit, MI, five brothers, Robert Pullen of Las Vegas, NV, Edgar Pullen of Chesterfield, MO, J. C. Pullen, III of St. Louis, Theodore Pullen of Bell City and Calvin Pullen of Monroe, GA, two sister, Minnie Morrow of St. Louis and Opal Johnson of Oceanside, CA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Friday, February 6, 2015 from 10:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 11:00 A. M. at Christ Sanctuary Church of God in Christ in Bell City with Dr. Elisha Pullen officiating. Interment will follow in the J C Pullen Memorial Garden with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements
