Barbara Jean Pierce

Barbara Jean Pierce, 66, resident of Charleston died, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born January 3, 1949 in Dorena to the late Luther and Ella Mae Dickson Jackson.

She was a former employee of Unilever in Sikeston for over 18 years and a current member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Henson where she served on the Ushers’ Board and as a Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent.

She was united in marriage to Roddy Pierce who survives of Charleston.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two brother, Luther (Margaret) Jackson of Charleston and Willie (Juanita) Jackson of Sikeston, three sisters, Evon and Rodney McCauley and Patricia Jackson of Charleston and Teresa (J. C.) Malone of Sikeston and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 1:00 P. M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 P. M. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Henson with the pastor, Rev. Sylvester Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
