Sarah Alice Akins

Sarah Alice Akins, 87, resident of Charleston died Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Charleston Manor Skilled Nursing Center in Charleston. She was born May 17, 1928 in Wyatt to the late Lem and Minnie White Miller.

She was a member of Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston where she served on the Mother’s Board.

She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Miller of St. Louis and Thomas Miller of Minneapolis, MN, two daughters, Joyce Norman of St. Louis and Sharetha (Robert) Moore of Charleston and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston with the Pastor, Supt. Steve Betts officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
