Susie Geraldine Lewis

Susie Lewis, 86, resident of Jackson died, Saturday, July 11, 2014 at the Jackson Manor in Jackson. She was born March 10, 1929 in Cape Girardeau to the late William Mack and Beulah Stone Futrell.

She was employed by Cape County Savings Bank for a number of years before retiring.

She was a lifelong member of Futrell Memorial Church of God in Christ in Jackson where she served as Church Secretary and a member of the Mothers’ Board.

On May 20, 1946 she was united in marriage to Raymond Lewis who preceded her in death in 1956.

She is survived by five sons, Larry Lewis of Jackson, Bobby Joe Lewis of Carbondale, Wayne (Mindi) Lewis of Atlanta, Billy (Joy) Lewis of Nashville, TN, and Rodney (Pat) Lewis of Coral Springs, FL, three daughters, Jacqueline Johnson of Jackson, Kathy (Barton “Rip”) Thomas and Jan Jones of Cape Girardeau, one brother, William J. Swan of Florissant, one sister, Betty McGee of Battle Creek, MI, 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 10:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Futrell Memorial Church of God in Christ in Jackson with Apostle William Bird officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
