Mildred Verna Brown

Mildred Brown, 83, resident of Sikeston died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born February 3, 1932 in Etta, MS to the late James and Irena Pegues Ivy.

She was united in marriage to C. D. Brown who also precedes her in death.

She was a member of West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston where she served on the Mothers’ Board.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Lee and Lois Ann Brown of Oxford, MS, six daughters and three sons-in-law; Sang and Michael Watts of Waltham, Mass., Shirley and Glenn Gipson of Topeka, KS, Linda Brown Watson and Sarah Brown of Sikeston, Paula Brown of Oxford, MS and Lois Ann and Eddie Davis of Lansing, KS, 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at New Hope Ministries in Sikeston with Pastor Ronald Williams of New Deliverance Praise and Worship Center in Sikeston officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
