Robert Earl Caldwell

Robert Earl Caldwell, 78, resident of Charleston, died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born July 8, 1937 in Obion County, TN to the late Condra and Ruby Smith Caldwell, Sr.

He was a retire laborer having worked for Choate Farms and was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Henson, Missouri where he served as a deacon and a member of the Board of Trustees.

He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Cotton on April 13, 1964 in Pinhook, Missouri, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ronald Caldwell of Charleston and Robert and Kimverlyn Caldwell of Killeen, TX, six daughters and two sons-in-law, Wilma Cotton of Sikeston, Carol Caldwell of Charleston, Monique Caldwell of Cape Girardeau, Barbara Johns and Stacy and Dennis Gillespie of Kenosha, WI and Melody and Wendell Gossett of Jackson, TN, three brothers, Norman Caldwell of Fort Wayne, IN, Roy Lee Caldwell of Union City , TN and Condra Caldwell, Jr. of Memphis, TN, one sister, Flossie Thomas of Union City, TN, 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston with Rev. Sylvester Davis, pastor of St. Paul MB Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
