Shirley Ann Visor, 60, resident of Charleston, died Tuesday, Sept 22, 2015 in Sikeston. She was born Sept 30, 1954 in Mississippi County, MO to the late Roosevelt “Ted” and Annie Mae Sager Verner. In addition to her parents, two brothers, R.C. Verner and Paul Verner, and one sister, Colleen Verner also preceded her in death.

Shirley loved cooking and gardening. She also loved socializing and serving the public.

She is survived by one son, Bobby Dexter of Fort Wayne, IN, one daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Linard Thomas of Sikeston, sixteen brothers and sisters and their spouses, Jodie Verner of St. Louis, Henry and Betty Verner of Arlington, TN, J. D. Verner of Lilbourn, MO, Annie Murray of Jefferson City, MO, Ann Marie Duncan of Marston, MO, Barbara and Sao Joseph of Horn Lake MS, Felicia Kamara of Charleston, John and Veronica of Oxford, MS, Timothy Verner of Conyers, GA, Billie Jo Thurman of Cape Girardeau, MO, Stephanie Verner and Sandra and Albert Griffin of Charleston, Delois Burton of St. Louis, Sarah Kent of Charleston, Vereline Johnson and Alice Jenkins of Cape Girardeau, two stepsons, Carlos Griffin of Cairo, IL and Willis Visor, Jr of Cleveland, OH, one step daughter, Carolyn Visor of Cleveland, and a very close friend Linda Williamson, six grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 P. M. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
