Mamie Elsie Blair

Mamie Blair, 79, resident of Lilbourn, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 23, 1936 in Marston to the late Eddie and Savannah Owens Blair.

She was a former employee of the New Madrid County Public Schools where she worked as a Teacher’s Aide and a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn where she was a member of the choir and the Mother’s Board.

She is survived by four sons, Charles Blair and Glen Blair of Lilbourn, Irvin Blair of Richfield, MN and Eric Blair of Minneapolis, MN, four daughters, Doris Blair of Richfield, Ondrenette Blair and Lisa Blair of Minneapolis, and Catrina Blair of New Hope, MN, two brothers, Edward Laverne Blair of Huntsville, AL and Thomas Blair of Atlanta, GA, five sisters, DeElla (Wilburt) Keys and Geraldine Griffin of Chicago, Eddie Mae (Charles) McWilliams of Gary, IN, Jenette Blair of Lilbourn and Shirley Nicholson of St. Louis, 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by on brother, Samuel Ralford and one sister, Carrie Winters.

Friends may call Friday, November 13, 2014 from 4:00 P. M. – 6:00 P. M. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 A. M. at New Madrid Baptist Church with Rev. Leotis Atkins officiating

Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid with the Williams Funeral Home of Howardville in charge of arrangements.
