Inez Avery Hamilton

Inez Hamilton, 88, resident of Charleston died October 29, 2015 at the Charleston Manor Nursing Center. She was born on February 16, 1927 in Clarksdale, MS to the late Louis and Mary Washington Avery.

She was a lifelong member of Perry Chapel AME Church in Charleston where she served on the Mother’s Board. She was a former employee of the Charleston Manor and the Sikeston Convalescent Center where she worked as a Nurse’s Aide.

She was united in marriage to William Fletcher Hamilton who also precedes her in death.

She is survived by one son, Barry Lee Hamilton of Chicago, one daughter, Carolyn Jackson of Chicago and a several grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

One son, William F. Hamilton, III has also preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service will be held on February 14, 2016 at Perry Chapel AME Church in Charleston at 1:00 P. M.

The body was cremated with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge.
