Samuel Lee Sanders Iii

Samuel L. Sanders, III, 35, resident of Sikeston died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born April 27, 1980 in Sikeston to the late Samuel L. Sanders, Jr. and Lila Regina Johnson Sanders of Sikeston.

He was a 1998 graduate of Richland High School in Essex where he participated in basketball and was an independent commercial truck driver.
He was also a member of New Covenant Christian Fellowship Ministries in Sikeston.

He was united in marriage to Markesha Groce of Sikeston, MO

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons, Charles J. Sanders of Buffalo, NY, Jarrell McClinton -Sanders of Chicago and Elijah Sanders of Sikeston, three daughters, Ariana Sanders of Buffalo, Matilyn "Maddy" Sanders of Atlanta and Tanijah Williams of Sikeston, one stepson, Michael Penny of Buffalo, his maternal grandmother, Jessie Lane of Sikeston, his paternal grandmother, Mattie Sims-Jones of Sikeston , a special uncle who helped raise him, Danny Sims of Atlanta, GA and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 P. M. at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston with Bishop Calvin Bird officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
