Gilbert Ray Dixon

Gilbert Ray Dixon,70, formerly of Charleston, MO, resident of Hayti, MO died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti. He was born May 5, 1945 in Charleston to the late Olie and Ether Scott Dixon.

Mr. Dixon worked for Penzel Construction for over 20 years, before forming his own company, Honest Abe Construction. He loved to fish and hunt.

He is survived by his son, Gilbert Ray Dixon, Jr. of Springfield, MO, two brothers and one sister-in-law, David and Doris Dixon of Charleston, MO, and James Dixon of Cape Girardeau, MO, three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Francis and Clifford Hines of Charleston, Mary and Roger Davis of Detroit, MI, and Clara and Joe Griffin of Benton Harbor, MI and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 12:00 pm until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston with Reverend Sylvester Davis officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
