Floyd Mason, 63, resident of Charleston died January 19, 2016 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born January 23, 1952 in Deventer, Missouri to the late Henry Mason and Flora Lee Kent Mason Henry and was of the Baptist faith.
He attended Lincoln High School in Charleston and was previous employed as a bus driver and janitor with the Charleston Public Schools.
He was united in marriage to Ophelia Farries Watson who preceded him in death on January 7, 2012. He is also preceded in death by his step father, Alex Henry, Sr.
He is survived by one brother, Chester Mason of Benton Harbor, MI, five sisters, Marzella Cross Of Charleston, Mary A. Johnson, Martha A. Scott and Evelyn Y. Tabor St. Louis, step brothers, Alex Henry and Richard Henry, step sister, Demetria Nurse, three step sons, Mack E. Watson, Haddie Watson and Shon Watson of Sikeston, four step daughters, Semeitra M. Watson of Atlanta, GA, Melissa J. Watson of St. Louis, Carlisha R. Mathis of Louisville, KY and Veronica Verner of Pope, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 P. M. at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Supt. Steve Betts, officiating.
The body will be cremated with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
