George Eugene Pittman, II, resident of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Sikeston died Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston. He was born March 18, 1939 in Biggers, AR to the late George E. and Alberta Rhodes Pittman, Sr.
He was previously employed at the law firm of John J. Corbitt and Associates in Chicago where he was the first black manager.
He was a member of Bowman Street Church of Christ in Sikeston where he served as a minister.
He was united in marriage to Nomia Larry who survives of Sikeston.
In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, Andre' (Tynaia) Pittman of St. Paul, MN, Damon Saulberry and Craig (Annette) Saulberry of St. Louis, Marcus (Alisha) Pittman and George E. Pittman III of Springfield, MO, five daughters, Sandra Pittman of Atlanta, Pamela Pittman of Chicago, Andrea Saulberry and Nakita (Fred) Pittman of St. Louis and Lynette (Mark) Williams of Cape Girardeau, two brothers, Thurman Pittman of Sun City, AZ and Gene Thomas of East St. Louis, IL, four sisters, Mary Hildreth, Christine Duey and Beverly Hall of Fresno, CA and Karen Raney Las Vegas, NV and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 P. M. with Rev. James Blue officiating at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston.
