Donald Lewis Brazier, 72, resident of Mounds, IL, died February 23, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 10, 1943 in Mounds to the late Leonard and Clara Harris Brazier and attended Church of Christ in Mounds.
He was a graduate of Douglas High School in Mounds and relocated to Chicago after graduating. He was later drafted into the United States Army where he served and received an honorable discharge.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Brazier and Homer Brazier and one sister, Loretta Paul.
He is survived by four sisters and one brother-in-law, Ada Brazier Harris of Chicago, Edith Hines and Betty and Amos Bullocks of South Holland, IL and Patricia Brazier of Homewood, IL, a very special friend, Mildred Shorty and her daughter, Debbie Shorty of Maywood, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 10:30 A. M. until the funeral hour of 11:00 A. M. at Mounds Church of Christ in Mounds with Pastor Willie Headsepth, Sr. officiating.
Interment will follow in the National Cemetery in Mound City with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
