Lillie Ribbie Lee Ila Reed Tyus

Lillie R. Tyus, 89, resident of Stockbridge GA, formerly of Charleston died March 6, 2016 at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge. She was born May 10, 1926 in Charleston to the late Evans and Verdie Kuykendall Reed.

She was currently a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Jonesboro, GA where she served on the Mother's Board. She enjoyed crocheting and singing.

She married Reverend Theodore R. Tyus on December 3, 1949, and they were married for 53 years until his death in 2003.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael Tyus and George and Carole Tyus of Jefferson City, MO, Kevin and Shirley Tyus of Douglasville, GA, two daughters and one son-in-law, Marilyn and Abury DeLaRoche of Belleville, MI, and Shaunna Tyus of Hampton, GA, one brother, Curtis Reed of St. Louis, MO, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 1:00P.M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M. at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston with Reverend Henry Tarver officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
