Jerry Edward Mays, 74, resident of Wilson City, Missouri, died April 3, 2016, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri. He was born March 23, 1942 in Parma, Missouri to the late Emerson and Lela Graham Mays.
He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Charleston, Missouri in 1964, and he retired from McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri.
He is survived by one brother and one sister-in-law, James and Deloris Mays of St. Louis, three sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruby Jones of Cleveland, Ohio, Jewel and Albert Williams of Sikeston, and Mildred Powell of St. Louis, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 12:00 Noon at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Reverend Darren Horrell officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
