Demetrious Demonn "Mede" Beach, 41, resident of Springfield, Missouri died April 8, 2016 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. He was born May 14, 1974 in Dexter, Missouri to Janice Beach Sturgis of St. Louis and Henry Earl Griffin of Waukegen, Illinois.
He lived in Sikeston, Missouri until age 14. In 1993, Demetrious graduated from McCluer High School in Florissant, Missouri, and participated all four years in the pre-collegiate "Bridge Program" at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. In 1994, he graduated from the International Barber Institute in Ferguson, Missouri.
He is survived by his fiance', Ashley Herd of Springfield, one son, Samuel A. Jordan Beach of Springfield, two stepsons, Allen Herd and Jacob Herd of Springfield, his mother and stepfather, James and Janice Beach Sturgis of St. Louis, his father and stepmother, Henry Earl and Leonor Griffin of Waukegen, three brothers and one sister-in-law, DeOntaye and Kari Beach of St. Louis, Derek Serna of Texas, and Henry Kiristin Griffin of Kansas City, Missouri, five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Denetra Beach, Danyale and Shawn Beach-Smith, and Delecia and Keven Beach-Coffin all of St. Louis, LaKesha Griffin and Lawanda and Darion Stevenson both of Kansas City, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 11:00AM until the funeral hour of 12:00 Noon at West End Missionary Baptist Church, Undra West, pastor, with Minister Samuel Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
