Billy Joe Ray, 50, resident of Sikeston, Missouri died April 15, 2016 at his daughter's home in Sikeston. He was born August 3, 1965 in Blue Mountain, Mississippi to the late Lee and Jannie Moore Ray.
Billy was a heavy equipment operator and he loved wrestling, bar-b-quing, and helping others.
He was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Haywood City, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Ennis "Bonnie" Eckles Ray of the home, four sons and one daughter-in-law, Thaddeus Fisher and Tyrice and Jessica Fisher of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Travis Blackmon of Cape Girardeau, and Robert Blackmon of Sikeston, Missouri, five daughters, Cherrie Blackmon, Jo'Nequwa Eckles, and Deshyia Ray of Sikeston, Kinyada Blackmon of Perryville, Missouri and Mo'Niquwa Hunt of Springfield, Missouri, two brothers and one sister-in-law, Hubert Ray and Vanessa of Cape Girardeau and Jefferey Ray of Haywood City, Missouri, two sisters, Amanda Pearson of Sikeston and Stephanie Maney of Cape Girardeau, his grandmother, Velma Anderson of New Albany, Mississippi, 17 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, April 23, 2016, from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Haywood City, Missouri with Pastor Alex Sims officiating.
Interment will follow in New Morning Star Cemetery in Haywood City.
