Leon Minor, 79, resident of Sikeston, Missouri died Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Sikeston. He was born February 16, 1937 in Senatobia, Mississippi to the late Cal Minor and Lillie B. Alexander Oliver of Memphis, Tennessee.
He was a faithful member of West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston. After 30 years of dedicated service, Leon retired as a forklift operator from Navistar in Louisville, Kentucky.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Minor of the home, four daughters and three sons-in-law, Joyce Ann and Bernell Upchurch and Arnita Minor of Senatobia, Rita and Gerard of Batesville, Mississippi, and La Donya Sherea and Rainey Bradley of Essex, Missouri, four stepdaughters, Lisa, Stephanie, Dionne, and Jamelia, four brothers, J.T. Strong, Abdul Ansari, Michael Oliver, and Anthony Oliver all of Memphis, Tennessee, two sisters, Sheryl Walls of Memphis and Patricia Oliver of Senatobia, grandchildren, great grandchildren, an aunt, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour of 11:00 AM at West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with Pastor Undra West officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset of Memories in Sikeston.
