Arlee Anderson Wade, 93, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Monday, May 9, 2016 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri. She was born May 7, 1923 in Wolf Island, Missouri to the late Ellis and Meoley Cassell Anderson.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a life-long member of St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. She was on the Mother's Board, the Usher's Board, and a member of the Friendly Sisters' Choir.
On June 11, 1949, Arlee married Lloyd Wade, Jr. and they have enjoyed 66 years together.
In addition to her husband who survives of the home, she leaves to cherish her memories, eight sons, Joe Anderson, Walter Brewer, Arnold Brewer, and Floyd Wade all of Charleston, Leonard Brewer of Cleveland, Ohio, Sevand Brewer and Lloyd Wade III of Columbia, Missouri and Sechrone Wade of Bertrand, Missouri, seven daughters, Gloria Scott of Bertrand, Brenda Rodgers, Francine Triplett, Gwendolyn Wade, and Rochelle Fitzgerald of Charleston, Glenda Clay of Ballwin, Missouri, and Regina Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, three sisters, Nancy Martin of Phoenix, Arizona, Delores Williams and Oralee Crenshaw of Chicago, Illinois, 49 grandchildren, 95 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour of 2:00 pm at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Pastor Floyd Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
