Henry Brown Jr.

Henry Brown Jr., 67, resident of Cape Girardeau, died May 13, 2016 at Kindred Hospital at St. Anthony in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born October 12, 1948 in Caruthersville, Missouri to the late Helen and Henry Brown Sr.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was of the Baptist faith. He was graduate of Sikeston High School Class of 1967.

Henry retired from the United States Army with an Honorable Discharge after 25 years of active duty service. He earned several medals during this time including the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and many others.

Henry married Ruth Ann Dogan on January 3, 1971 and she survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jacquelyn Brown of St. Louis, two grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 11:00 am until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau with the pastor, Reverend Dr. Joseph G. Cotton officiating.

Interment will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
