Cassandra Denise Walker

Cassandra Denise Walker, affectionately known as Cassie, 29, resident of New Madrid, Missouri, died May 18, 2016 at her home. She was born January 27, 1987 in Sikeston, Missouri to David Kelly of Cassopolis, Michigan and Rosie Blackmon of Sikeston.

Cassie accepted Christ at an early age and was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of New Madrid County Central High School.

She is survived by one daughter, Ja'Shyia Mechelle Pratt of New Madrid, three brothers, Corey Simmons and Christopher Simmons of Sikeston and Travis David, Jr. of Cassopolis, three sisters, Natasha Kelly and Shakiya Kelly of Howardville, Missouri and Damonica Kelly of Cassopolis, her maternal grandmother, Louise Simmons of New Madrid, her paternal grandmother, Louise Kelly of Jacksonville, Florida, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid, Missouri with Pastor Robert Lee Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
