Ronnie Lawayne Woods, Sr., 47, resident of Charleston, Missouri, died June 17, 2016 the result of a vehicle accident. He was born August 2, 1968 in Charleston to the late Richard and Earnesthene Sinks Woods, but was also raised by the late L.C. Carthron.
Ronnie was a graduate of Charleston High School Class of 1986.
He enlisted in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge. He also served with the United States Army National Guard.
Ronnie was a member of St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Stanback Woods of the home, two sons, Ronnie Woods, Jr. and Aubrey Woods of Cortland, New York, three daughters and one son-in-law, Ronica Stanback, Danielle and Shannon Henderson, and Laterika Woods all of Charleston, two brothers, Lonnie Woods and Teco Woods of Charleston, one stepbrother, Tracy Oliver of Charleston, two stepsisters, Cynetha Oliver and Dinah Oliver of Charleston, eight grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Shannon, Shaniyla, Trey, Deshaun, Shilyn, Daniyla, Satavian, and Valicia all of Charleston, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Friends may call Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 12:00 P.M. until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston with Reverend Floyd Wade officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with full military honors.
