Joe Nathan Scott, affectionately known as Big Joe, 72, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Charleston Manor Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born September 30, 1943 in Thompson Bend, Missouri to the late Robert and Pauline Rush Scott.
Joe worked for Duenne Farms for 58 years.
He is survived by his wife Delores Scott of Sikeston, Missouri, three sons and one daughter-in-law, Gregory and Geralyn Mason of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Jerry Carter of Charleston, Tanerius Whitney of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, one daughter, Jo Anna Scott of Charleston, four brothers and one sister-in-law, Robert Scott of Chicago Heights, Illinois, Garry and Gina Scott of Kansas City, Missouri, Johnny Scott and Wayne Scott of Charleston, seven sisters and four brothers-in-law, Earline and Jimmie Webb and Ola Mae and Jimmy Hamilton of Kansas City, Lisa Scott of Dallas, Texas, Dollye and Arnold Brewer, Rose and James McCain, and Lois Dugan all of Charleston, and Debra Gale of LaBelle, Florida, and a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 pm at Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston, with David O'Neil, pastor of Holy Trinity of Chicago, Illinois, officiating.
