John Thomas Cooper, 71, resident of Charleston, Missouri, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Charleston Manor Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born November 1, 1945 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the late John and Alice B. Mason Cooper.

John was a man of many talents; he farmed, detailed cars, and mowed lawns. He loved to fish, hang out with his friends and have a good time.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Cooper of St. Louis, Missouri and Sayvion Dowell of Charleston, three daughters, Felicia Bostic of Sikeston, Missouri, Stephanie Cooper of Charleston, and Vanita Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 12:00pm until the funeral hour of1:00 pm at Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston with Minister Darren Horrell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
