Robert J. Allen

Robert J. Allen, affectionately known as Pimple, 62, resident of Charleston, Missouri, died November 5, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born March 11, 1954 in East Prairie, Missouri to the late Jack and Reviue Banks Allen.

Robert was a retired steelworker. He worked as a foreman for over 30 years at US Steel Gary Works in Gary, Indiana.

He was a member of St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston where he served as a deacon.

Robert is survived by his wife, Tracy Allen of the home, six sons and three daughters-in-law, Robert and Carrie Sutton of St. Louis, Missouri, Romail and Christina Allen of Portland, Oregon, Robert Allen III of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Christian and Teniya Allen of Norfolk, Virginia, Edwin "Booney" Stringfellow of Park Forest, Illinois, and Montrell Ferguson of Charleston, five daughters and one son-in-law, Rochelle Allen and Aletha "Angel" Allen of Minneapolis, Kiara Allen of Sikeston, Missouri, RoDonna Allen and Marquita and Tavorous Johnson of Charleston, seven brothers, Arthur Allen, Connie Allen, and Willie Allen of Sikeston, Larry Allen and Bobby Allen of Charleston, Danny Allen of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Tommy Allen of Palm Bay, Florida, nine sisters, Virginia Whitfield and Aline Allen of Columbia, Missouri, Charline Allen and Priscilla Lee of Charleston, Rose Webb of Sikeston, Delores Livingston of Noblesville, Indiana, Jean Allen Woodring of Cairo, Illinois, Minnie Hammonds of Cape Girardeau, and Ruthie Smith of Chicago, Illinois, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Friday, November 11, 2016 at 10:00am until the funeral hour of 11:00am at St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston with Pastor Floyd Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
