Elizbeth Winfield

Elizbeth Winfield, 83, resident of Sikeston, Missouri died Monday, December 5, 2016 peacefully in her home. She was born July 18, 1933 in Lexington, Mississippi to the late Roy and Cora Meeks Meekie.

Elizbeth lived her life as a mother of eight children and was a devoted wife to James Winfield. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and attended Life Church in Sikeston, Missouri. She was kind and gentle.

She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry Winfield, James and Jane Winfield Jr., and Chris Winfield all of Sikeston, and Billy and Stephanie Winfield of St. Louis, Missouri, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Slaughter of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Diane and Jake Jones of Sikeston, and Betty and Calvin Porter of Morley, Missouri, 25 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 12:00 Noon at Life Church, 951 South Kingshighway, with Pastor David Craig officiating. Interment will follow in New Morning Star Cemetery in Haywood City, Missouri.
