Harry L. Lewis, 79, resident of Michigan City, Indiana, formerly of Charleston, Missouri died Friday, January 6, 2017 in his home. He was born January 17, 1937 in Okolona, Mississippi to the late William Lee Lewis and Chaney Henry Lewis.

Harry was a farmer for C. V. Lee Farm in Mississippi County for many years. He later moved to Michigan City, went to work for Phillips Drill, and retired from there in 1997.

He married Sarah B. Gillespie in 1958, and she preceded him in death in 1996.

Harry is survived by one son, Steve Gibson of St. Louis, Missouri, two daughters, Dorothy J. Frazier of Charleston, and Joyce Dixon of St. Louis, one brother and one sister-in-law, Walter L. and Mary Lewis of Charleston, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston with Brother John Terry officiating.
