Lee Ernest Stevens

Lee Ernest Stevens, 66, resident of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Haywood City, Missouri, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Columbus. He was born October 30, 1950 in Macon, Missouri to the late John Henry and Mary Alice Stevens.

Lee graduated from Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri with a degree in Education, and he has degrees in Counseling and Divinity from Triune Biblical University. He attended Genoa Baptist Church in Westerville, Ohio.

He was employed by The Strategy Group and retired from the State of Ohio, Department of Insurance after 20 years of service.

Lee served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He survived by his wife, Maryellen, children, Melissa, Leland, Lee, Stephanie(Reginald), Kristina, and Daniel, siblings, Henry Earl (Edna), Evelyn (James), and Mack,13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, first wife, Darlene, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Friday, January 17, 2017 from 10:00 am until the funeral hour of 12:00 Noon at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston, Missouri with Reverend Alex Sims officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
