Katherine Clemons Owens, 90, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Monday, February 27, 2017 peacefully in her home surrounded by family. She was born June 17, 1926 in Osceola, Arkansas to the late Leon and Mary Hunt Bradley.
She was united in marriage to Edgar Owens for over 68 years. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Katherine was a fun, loving, and caring woman of God. She had a great sense of humor and she loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Percy and Teresa Owens of Bertrand, Missouri, and Julius Owens of Charleston, seven daughters and four sons in law, Lillie and Larry Smith, Barbra and Michael Parker, Essie McCatrey, Ruby Owens, Timothy Owens, and Carolyn and Bradford Garland all of Charleston, and Cora and Jerry Johnson of Haywood City, Missouri, one brother, Leon Bradley of East Prairie, Missouri, more than 100 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 30 great, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 pm at St. Matthews Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston with Pastor Floyd Wade, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
