William Jackson, Sr., 83, resident of Sikeston, Missouri died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 peacefully in his home. He was born March 14, 1934 in Red Lick, Mississippi to the late Alex and Willie Mae Nash Jackson.
William confessed Christ at an early age. He worked for many years as a Master Mechanic in his own shop in Chicago, Illinois. William was an expert at his craft, and he had a great love for working on cars. He moved to Sikeston in 2011 and joined Free Will Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Victor Williams.
William is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Howard Jackson of Hermanville, Mississippi, William and Lashaun Jackson and Travis and Andrea Jackson of Denver, Colorado, five daughters and three sons-in-law, Freddie and Willie McRunnels of Port Gibson, Mississippi, Vera Martin of Hermanville, Mississippi, Frances Lacy Jackson of Carthage, Mississippi, Angelingua and Keith McNain of South Carolina, and Everlean and Jerry Wilson of Erie, Pennsylvania, one sister Mollye Redd of Sikeston, Missouri, one brother, Jerry D. Jackson of Sikeston, 22 grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Free Will Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with Pastor Victor Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Sikeston Memorial Park.
