Kausoundra Luvenia Owens, 62, resident of Bloomington, Illinois, formerly of Charleston, Missouri died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at her daughter's home in Bloomington, Illinois. She was born April 13, 1955 in Charleston, Missouri to the late Herbert and Viola Hunt Clemon.

Kausoundra attended Lincoln School in Charleston, Missouri before attending Charleston High School.

She was a member of Hallelujah Worship Center in Bloomington, Illinois where she sat on the Mother's Board.

Kausoundra is survived by her husband, Jesse Lee Owens of Bloomington, Illinois, six sons and two daughters-in-law, Le'Nard and Paula Clemon of Milwaukeee, Wisconsin, Jesse Lee Clemon and Lavar and Cassandra Ware of Bloomington, Illinois, Thomas Clemon, Damoni Clemon, and Imari Clemon of Chicago, Illinois, one daughter, Lavarsia Ware of Bloomington, Illinois, 27 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren,uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 pm at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Arthur Cassell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
