Polly Mcgowan

Polly Dian McGowan, 62, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Charleston Manor Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born September 28, 1954 in East Prairie, Missouri to the late Cecil and Mabel Batts Hightower.

Polly attended Charleston High School. She was employed with Bankers Life and Casualty Company for over 25 years as an Insurance Claims Adjuster. She later joined Sprint working in their call center.

She was a member of Rock of Ages in Maywood, Illinois.

She is survived by one son, Avery Hightower of Charleston, Missouri, one daughter, Teresa Hightower of New York City, New York, two brothers, John Hightower and Harry Hightower of Charleston, Missouri, two sisters, Juanita Hightower of Chicago, Illinois and Carrie Guy of Battlecreek, Michigan, one grandson, Jaxon Hightower, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 5:00pm at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston with Associate Minister Alvin Hightower, The Chapel of Christian Love in Atlanta, Georgia, officiating.
