Cyd Charisse Parham, 48, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Sunday, June 18, 2017, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 20, 1968 in Harvey, Illinois to Roosevelt Parham, Sr. of Harvey, Illinois and the late Barbara Ann Jones Parham. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, R'shaunti Parham, her sister, Alysia Parham, and her brother, Roosevelt Parham, Jr.
Cyd was a strong woman and a great mother. She was devoted to her children, always wanted them to do their best, and was always there for them. She loved to talk, but more importantly she was a good listener.
In addition to her father, Cyd is survived by three sons, Brian Parham and Zyan Parham of Charleston, Missouri, and Ryan Parham of Sikeston, Missouri, five daughters and one son-in-law, Marquita and Joe Brown of Belleville, Illinois, Roshaunda Parham, Selmanique Snow, Tara Parham, and Mia Parham all of Charleston, Missouri, one brother, Julius Parham of East Prairie, Missouri, four sisters, Tammy Jones of Rantoul, Illinois, Tara Parham of Carbondale, Illinois, Edna Parham of McDonough, Georgia, and Monica Sims of Jacksonville, Florida, her lifelong companion, Roger Robinson of Charleston, Missouri, 16 grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour of 2:00 pm at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Pastor Rodney Dunlap officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
