Johnnie Pearl Rimpson, 102, resident of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Hayti, Missouri died Monday, July 3, 2017 peacefully in her home. She was born January 29, 1915 in Jonestown, Mississippi to the late Count Van Trawick and Mollie Parker Trawick Jones.

She graduated from Concord Grade School in Hayti in May 1932.

On January 25, 1935, she married Cecil Rimpson and they were married for 40 years. He preceded her in death in 1975. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Trawick and Fred Trawick, three sisters, Alice Thobbs, Mary Jane Hill, and Edith Mays, and one stepbrother, Leroy Jones.

She was a member of Beloved Community United Methodist Church where she served as the Communion Steward. She loved her church family and they loved her.

She is survived by a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 9:00am until the funeral hour of 10:00am at Beloved Community United Methodist Church, 3115 Park Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63104 with Pastor Kevin Kosh officiating. Burial will follow Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:00am in Evergreen Cemetery in Hayti, Missouri.
