Willis George Robinson, 65, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Sunday, August 20, 2017 in his home. He was born June 7, 1952 in Union City, Tennessee to the late Sammy Lee Robinson and Margaret Murphy Robinson.
He was united in marriage to Larcene Cleaves on June 22, 1971.
Willis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and had a passion for farming.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Justin Patrick Robinson, one brother, Michael Robinson, one sister, Doris Howard, and the man who helped raise him, Bobby Lee Johnson.
In addition to his wife, Willis is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Rico Robinson, Ranell (Yvette) Robinson, and Willie Robinson all of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, five daughters and two sons-in-law, Santheresa (Alfred) Brown of Louisville, Kentucky, Martez (Matt) Cleaves, Yameka Robinson, Callie Robinson and Misty Robinson all of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, nine brothers, Dwight Robinson, Roger Robinson, and Anthony Robinson all of Charleston, Missouri, Billy Jo Robinson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Edward Lee Robinson and Dallas Robinson of Union City, Tennessee, Robert Lewis Robinson of Martin, Tennessee, Douglas Robinson of St. Louis, Missouri, and Henry Robinson of Rockford, Illinois, five sisters, Susie Brown of Miami, Florida, Barbara Walker of Tallahassee, Florida, Margarett Jackson of Charleston, Missouri, Gracie Robinson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Wyvonna Robinson of Tacoma, Washington, a special friend, Dicky Hanor of East Prairie, Missouri, 42 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
Friends may call Friday, September 1, 2017 at 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00pm at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston, Missouri with Reverend Darren Horrell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
