Donnell Johnson, affectionately known as R. Kelly, 56, resident of Sikeston, Missouri, died Saturday, August 26, 2017. He was born June 24, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Kelton Morris and Dorothy Johnson Cox.

Donnell confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He was a member of One More Chance Ministries in Sikeston, Missouri. He loved his family and he loved the Lord.

He enjoyed riding his bicycle and shopping. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Donnell was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Calvin Johnson and Norman Cox, Jr., and one sister, Shielia Brownlee.

He is survived by three brothers, Eugene Johnson, Eric Johnson, and Michael Cox all of Sikeston, Missouri, four sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruth Rushman of Detroit, Michigan, Patricia Cox of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , Michelle Cox and Trina (Jerry) Taylor of Sikeston, Missouri, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12:00 pm until the funeral hour of 1:00 pm at One More Chance Ministries in Sikeston with Pastor Hallie Bonner and Co-pastor Lucy Bonner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset of Memories.
