Kevion Laray Tate was born September 27, 1998 in Carbondale, Illinois to Lorenzo and Rena Bright Tate. He was called home to be with our Lord at the age of 18 years, 11 months, and four days.
Kevion attended Antioch High School in Antioch, Tennessee and graduated from Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri Class of 2016.
Kevion confessed a hope in Christ at the age of eight years old. He was baptized on September 2, 2007 at Ollie Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Wilson City, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Emma Bright, his grandfather, George Bright, two uncles, William "Peanut" Bright and Stephen Bright, and one aunt, Charla Mitchell.
Kevion leaves to cherish his precious memories, Lorenzo and Rena Tate, three sisters, Nacota (Darryl) Bright Menzies, Sharee (Terrvell) Williams, Jennifer (Lance) Price, one brother, Lorenzo Tate, Jr. "Baby Zo," five nieces, Takyra, Tamora, and Trinity Williams, Alaysia Tate and Jalaya Price, four nephews, Darryl Menzies, Jr. Lorenzo Tate III, Jairus Tate, and Javion Price, grandparents, Ernest and Julia Tate, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour of 2:00 pm at First Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo, Illinois with Pastor Jimmy Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Spencer Heights Memorial Cemetery in Mounds, Illinois.
