Anthony Gerald Armstrong, 51, formerly of Charleston, Missouri, resident of Clifton, Ohio, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, Ohio. He was born September 9, 1966 to the late Ernest Love and Julia Armstrong-Tate of rural Wyatt, Missouri.
Anthony confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Rush Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
After graduating from Charleston High School, he went to California to pursue truck driving which he did for several years. Later, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where he met his wife, Darlene Stepp Armstrong.
In addition to his father, Ernest Love, he was preceded in death by one sister, Charla Tate Mitchell, and one nephew, Kevion Tate.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Darlene, four daughters, Ashelee Julia Mouse-Armstrong, Cassandra Elise Benton-Armstrong, Catherine Ellan Benton-Armstrong, and Clarissa Elaine Benton-Armstrong, his mom and dad, Julia and Ernest Tate, four brothers, Donald (Lisa) Armstrong, Ronald (Clara) Armstrong, Lorenzo (Rena) Tate, and Leroy (Sherita) Tate, four sisters, Sabrina Tate, Mary (Eric) Avance, Patricia (Jesse) Johnson and Clementine Tate, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 pm at Ollie Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Wilson City, Missouri with Pastor Samuel Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
