Ezell Applewhite, 65, affectionately known as Easy Money, resident of Sikeston, Missouri, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at his sister's home in Sikeston, Missouri. He was born October 13, 1951 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Albert and Hazel McCauley Applewhite.
Ezell's pasttime included riding his moped and bicycle. He loved watching westerns on television. He will be missed for a lot of things but mostly for his quick wit and sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Boyd Applewhite, Albert "Charlie" Applewhite, Johnny Applewhite, and Joseph Applewhite.
Ezell is survived by one son, Boyd Lee Taylor of St. Louis, Missouri, one daughter, Tiphony Winfield of Sikeston, Missouri, three brothers, James (Mary) Applewhite of Sikeston, Missouri, Leon Applewhite of Chicago, Illinois and Lorenzo (Ann) Allen of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, four sisters, Mary Henry, Ida Applewhite, and Irene Applewhite, all of Sikeston, Missouri and Willie Lee Stidman of Chicago, Illinois, two grandchildren, Shel'la Winfield and Jayvon Winfield both of Sikeston, Missouri, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 11:00am until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston, Missouri with Reverend Jason Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri.
