Gerald Vinson Walker, 67, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Monday, October 16, 2017 in his home. He was born April 19, 1950 in Diehlstadt, Missouri to the late Mose and Alice Robinson Walker, Sr.
He was of the Baptist faith and graduated from Charleston Public School.
Gerald was a very hard-worker, who had farmed for a living. He loved to fish and play baseball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Walker and Ronald Walker, and two sisters, Sharon Walker and Karen McKeller.
Gerald is survived by four brothers and one sister-in-law, Mose Walker, Jr. of Peoria, Illinois, Larry Walker of Amory, Mississippi, Ronnie (Ida) Walker of Charleston, Missouri, and Craig Walker of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, four sisters and one brother-in-law, Marie Robinson of Peoria, Illinois, Erma Price of Unity, Illinois, Vienna Walker and Mona (Jerome) Hamilton of Charleston, Missouri, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Arthur Cassell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
