Robert Earl Foster, 65, formerly of Charleston, Missouri, resident of St. Louis, Missouri died Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Louis University Hospital. He was born May 25, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to Collier and Dorothy Swapshir Foster of Detroit, Michigan.
Robert attended and graduated from Charleston High School. He was a hard-working man and worked for the Wyatt Levy District for many years. He loved fishing, drinking beer, joking and socializing with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Anthony Jerome Mays, and his brothers, Richard Foster and Ira Foster.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Diondray and Luvine Foster of St. Louis, Missouri, and Christopher Anderson of Charleston, Missouri, one daughter, Almetrise Lane of Bloomington, Illinois, seven brothers, Ronnie (Alice) Foster, Collier Foster, Micheal Foster, Lawrence Foster, Darryl Foster, and Kenneth Foster all of Detroit, Michigan, and Wayne Brown of Belleville, Illinois, four sisters, Jackie Brown, Faye Foster, Resia Foster and Lesia Foster of Detroit, Michigan, one granddaughter, two great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 2:00 pm until the funeral hour of 3:00 pm at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Darren Horrell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
