Sandra Ann Cooper, 38, resident of New Madrid, Missouri, died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born April 14, 1979 in Gibson, Tennessee to the late Isaac Payne and Betty Jean Mays Payne.

She attended New Madrid County Central High School in New Madrid, Missouri.

She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid under the leadership of Pastor Robert Anderson where she loved working with the youth. She was a former member of Friendship Church of God in Christ in Howardville, Missouri where she was raised under the leadership of Bishop Marvelle Cranford and she also worked with the young children.

Sandra had a kind and loving heart and was known as the "neighborhood nanny" because she would babysit everyone's kids. She had a special love for her nieces and nephews and would help everyone. There was never a dull moment when Sandra was around because she would always find a way to make you smile.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sons, Lavoy Tuggle, Jr. and KeJuan Cooper, her grandmother, Flossie Mays, one uncle, Johnny Mack Mays, two aunts, Brenda Sutton and Dorothy Crayton, and a nephew, Isaac Cooper II.

She is survived by three brothers, Otis (Annalee) Cooper of Aurora, Colorado, Isaac (Latrina) Cooper of Sikeston, Missouri and Antonio (Easter) Cooper of New Madrid, Missouri, one sister, Sherry Cooper of New Madrid, Missouri, a special friend, Lavoy Tuggle of New Madrid, Missouri and her best friends, Kevin Wilson and Gwen Nelson of New Madrid, Missouri and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 12:00 P. M. until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid, Missouri with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in New Madrid with the Williams Funeral Home of Howardville, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
