Roxie Ann Anderson, 58, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born November 28, 1959 in Charleston, Missouri to Jimmy Betts of Charleston, Missouri and the late Mattie Gardner Green.

She was a graduate of Charleston High School and attended Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church.

Roxie and Woodrow were married August 13, 1977 and enjoyed over 40 years together. He survives of the home.

Roxie was a very hard worker. For over 15 years, she worked at both the Charleston Manor Skilled Nursing Facility and the Bertrand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She was currently employed for several years at the Close To Home Nursing Center in Matthews, Missouri. She loved her occupation and enjoyed her profession.

Roxie was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was fun-loving and would bring a smile to your face. Roxie was adored and will truly be missed.

In addition to her mother, Mattie Gardner Green, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Alex Gardner and Clarence Gardner, and one brother-in-law, Julian Wayne Browning.

Roxie is survived by her husband, Woodrow Anderson of Charleston, Missouri, her father, Jimmy Betts of Charleston, Missouri, three sons, Tyrone, Woodrow, and Jermaine all of Charleston, Missouri, two daughters and one son-in-law, LaShonda and Victoria (Anthony )of Charleston, Missouri, six brothers and four sisters-in-law, R.J. (Rose) Betts and John Betts of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Willie (Patricia), Charles (Tangela) , and Jerome (Nicole) of Charleston, Missouri, and Lynn of Sikeston, Missouri, eight sisters and two brothers-in-law, Berniece, Susie, Mildred (Freddie), Lois, and Lisa all of Charleston, Missouri, Michelle of Kalamazoo, Michigan, VaTisha (Michael) and Paula of Memphis, Tennessee, eight grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 pm at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Arthur Cassell officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri.
