Fredrick Lamont Henry, 37, resident of Cairo, Illinois, formerly of East Prairie, Missouri died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at his home in Cairo, Illinois. He was born September 27, 1981 in Sikeston, Missouri to Myra Dunigan Henry of Cairo, Illinois and Richard Henry of Plainfield, Illinois.
Fredrick was a graduate of East Prairie High School, class of 2000, where he played football.
He was baptized at Union Baptist Church in Pinhook, Missouri under the leadership of Reverend Don Weakley.
Fredrick was a hard worker. He was employed by Schlumberger in Riverton, Wyoming. He was presently an Oil Driller for them and had previously worked for HB Rentals in Williston, North Dakota as one as well. He had been a mechanic for TA Truck Stops. He enjoyed repairing 18 wheelers, but his sense of adventure encouraged him to move out West.
He was a family man. Fredrick put his family first. He enjoyed a close mentoring relationship with his brother. He loved kids and was a friend to many. He enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, watching movies, gaming, and experimenting in the kitchen.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Junior and Betty Dunigan and Alex and Flora Lee Henry.
In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by one brother, Jeremy Henry of Jackson, Missouri, two stepsisters, Keturah Henry of Plano, Illinois and Zipporah Henry of Plainfield, Illinois, one nephew, two nieces, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 pm at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Reverend Phillip Stone officiating.
